It was a great pleasure to join two days at the Driving Vision News Shanghai Workshop, offered a great opportunity to exchange ideas across multiple disciplines — from lighting, interior design, smart cockpit and HMI design. 🚗💡
Talking with designers, analysts, from OEMs and suppliers made me realize that while technology keeps advancing — faster, smarter, and more integrated — yet we ought to also asking the this essential question:
👉 What’s the right place for the human in this increasingly integrated system?
In my session, I shared a few reflections:
🔹 Why “touch” will never fully replace “buttons” — it’s not just about interface logic, but about trust, tactility, and situational awareness.
🔹 And how cultural differences subtly shape what we consider “comfortable” or “intuitive” interaction. 🌏
What inspired me most wasn’t the answers, but the conversations themselves — the diversity of perspectives reminded me that design isn’t only about efficiency or intelligence, but about helping people feel at ease in complex systems. ✨
